Mission Arlington provides many free services to the Arlington Community, including:
The Mission hosts Bible studies in 349 locations across the community (including apartment club houses to neighborhood homes). Dress is casual and musical styles vary.
Throughout the year, Mission Arlington hosts after school programs, carnivals, educational scholarship programs, health care services, Rainbow Express backyard Bible clubs, sports ministries, gym nights, summer camps and more. They also provide donated fans in the summer to families without air conditioning.
School supplies are distributed in the fall. In 2016, over 9,000 students received free supplies from Mission Arlington!
Mission Arlington provides assistance with many types of emergency needs, including:
- Partial rent payments
- Utility payments
- Gas Vouchers
- Baby items (diapers, formula, strollers, car seats, baby swings, etc)
- Household goods
- Medical equipment
- Personal needs (hygiene, etc)
Mission Arlington operates the Allan Saxe Dental Clinic and Bob Mann Medical Clinic, which provide essential dental and health services completely free of charge. They also offer the Celebrate Recovery ministry, counseling services and Grief Share Support Group.
Holidays can be financially taxing for low income families. Mission Arlington assists with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
The Fall Festival takes place in late October and is fun for the whole family. Children receive a free lunch and a bag of candy. Bouncy houses, hay rides and a carnival with prizes are available. Children can come dressed in non-scary costumes or in ordinary clothes. It’s all free!
On Thanksgiving morning, the Mission delivers Thanksgiving turkeys and food to families in need.
The Christmas Store provides Christmas gifts to children in need. Parents visit the Store and select gifts for their children. Last year, more than 30,000 children received gifts from the store!
